XO taking over R&B, artist by artist..
Monreal-born singer-songwriter Black Atlass has been around making music for a while, but recently his biggest break has been signing with global superstar The Weeknd. He's had past projects like his 2016 Haunted Paradise releasing under Fool's Gold Records and a recent single with Jessie Reyez that made the Fifty Shades Freed Soundtrack titled, ""Sacrifice." Though nothing comes as highly anticipated as his first album with XO titled, Pain & Pleasure and the Montreal singer delivers. XO continues their aesthetic with their R&B-focused artists who all have a little 'The Weeknd' in them. Black Atlass' XO debut comes in a 8-track album that kicks off with the instant falsetto on the opening track "Something Real." After that it's simply foreplay with every track destined to soundtrack a whole Fifty Shades of Grey series. "Pain & Pleasure" gets the typical XO visual treatment with dark tones and high intimacy, which you can check out below. "Kinda Like It" is the stand out track on the album that confirms Black Atlass' affiliation with XO; delivering that 'Weeknd' sound we all love.
