21 Savage is at his best yet..

Atlanta rapper 21 Savage releases his best work to date with his new album I Am > I Was, stepping away from his conversational rapping flow over heavy beats to a much more composed and swagged out version of himself, but keeping the street storytelling. Not only has his rapping gotten exponentially better on this album, his features are coming from all corners, kicking it off with a massive feature on the opening track titled, "a lot" with J. Cole. This perfect soul-sampled beat laces perfectly with the thumping bass that 21 and Cole murder and take no witnesses. DJ Dahi is to thank for the production; working wonders with 21's flow complementing his laid-back demeanor. Cole is straight up in the pocket on this one feeding off the soul to deliver another iconic verse. The rest of the album also includes features by Gunna, Lil Baby, Post Malone, Offset, Childish Gambino, and Schoolboy Q. Cop this album or stream it because this album is all types of smooth real storytelling hip-hop.
