The visual is spewing grit and grunge..
Rising Canadian star Allan Rayman is having one hell of a year, releasing the very popular Courtney EP last year and now receiving a Juno Nomination for 'Breakthrough Artist of the Year.' Rayman is up against heavy competition with the likes of rapper Nav and fellow collaborator Jessie Reyez who appears on Rayman's track "Repeat" off his gritty 2017 album Roadhouse 01. Rayman is making a name for himself through his alt-r&B/rock blend that is selling out venues like Commodore Ballroom here in Vancouver and Danforth Music Hall in Toronto. Following his Juno nomination, Rayman decided to share the video (which premiered with Paper Magazine) for his track, "Word of Mouth" off the Courtney EP. The video shows Rayman on tour, killing shows to relaxing and taking in the views on the road. Rayman's intoxicating delivery on "Word of Mouth" is channeled through the dim lights and grunge video editing that follows the whole aesthetic from his previous video release with "Go My Way." It's Rayman's contemplation with the world that brings forth his honest storytelling and soul-wrenching vocals. Both videos for "Word of Mouth" and "Go My Way" were directed by Steph Verschuren while they were conceptualized by Allan Rayman. Look out for Allan Rayman at the Junos in Vancouver next month and watch the video for "Word of Mouth" below.
