The feud is officially over going 'Back to Back'..
Meek Mill's long awaited album CHAMPIONSHIPS finally dropped last night after Meek's long and turbulent year with the law. Following his defeat in his rap beef with Drake, Meek's career seemed to be headed in a down spiral, but things are now looking up for the Philadelphia rapper whose unique flow is back and unmatched. His new album features the likes of Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Kodak Black, Future, Fabolous, Anuel AA, Young Thug, Ella Ma, 21 Savage and even Drake. The beef is officially squashed with the two rappers going back to back on "Going Bad." The last time they were seen on a song together was on Meek Mill's "R.I.C.O." and before that "Amen"; proving that the two collaborating is a definitive hit.
While all the attention may be on his track with Drake, his track "What's Free" with Rick Ross and Jay-Z is getting a lot of attention with everyone stating Jay-Z has hit a hip-hop prophet level with his verse. Then there's the low key banger and solo track "Almost Slipped" where you'll find Meek on some smooth auto tune R&B flow. Sometimes it's those low key tracks that'll be on rotation for much longer than the heavy hitters and that seems like it'll be the case with "Almost Slipped." The production on the album is triumphant, moody and all the emotions it takes to win a championship, but mostly celebratory, motivational tunes. I think it's safe to say Meek is back and with a bigger purpose than before; he's out here winning the biggest championship of them all... life.
