The best kept Welsh secret is about to release his debut album..

Welsh singer and multi-instrumentalist Ali Lacey, better known as Novo Amor, creates atmospheric music that clutches your emotions and doesn't let go. You could say he is the new Bon Iver as his atmospheric folk is driven by his remarkable falsetto and deep messages. His latest single "Utican" comes after his first two releases of the year including "State Lines" and "Birthplace," which are all set to appear on his debut album Birthplace. His debut album is set to release on October 19th and is sure to be as beautiful as the videos that accompany his music. If you haven't checked out his video for "Birthplace" I strongly urge you to fully immerse yourself here, as it just won Independent Video of the Year at the AIM Awards. Much like the deep issue Novo Amor tackles in "Birthplace," he shares his video for "Utican" showing a boy struggling with the social acceptance of his sexuality and loss of his mother. Novo Amor is where the power of music meets the beauty of cinematography.

You can catch Novo Amor live in Vancouver at St. James Hall on Nov. 30th on his 'Birthplace Tour.' Grab tickets here.
