Album Review: ZHU – stardustexhalemarrakechdreams

ZHU wrecks havoc in four tracks..

Stand out Tracks: Exhale

Release Date: August 18th, 2017

I can assure you that ZHU has left the House scene in utter panic with his latest release, stardustexhalemarrakechdreams. If the bizarre name alone isn't enough to grab your attention then listen up and click play. The EP is packed with 4 hard tracks and a darker and much more up-beat sound than his past releases. What begins with a familiar sound from ZHU; "Stardust (intro)" begins draped in calm synths, but quickly and on queue chimes into the dark, trance-like club beat. It's followed by the bass and synthesizer heavy track "Exhale" that features ZHU's silky vocals. The third track, "Chasing Marrakech" is an orchestral track mixed with house elements and more ZHU vocals. With the only feature in the form of NERO, the trio collaborate on a song that is one of ZHU's hardest electronic songs to date resembling the sound produced by Gesafellstein. That track is titled "Dreams," which closes the EP on a high. Stream the album below.
